The Bell Theater was packed to capacity on Wednesday night as fans from the Tri-State area came out to see America’s Got Talent (AGT) contestant Jimmy Rose advance to the show’s finale next week.
Jimmy’s results were once again delayed until the end of the show, prompting fans in attendance to speculate the show’s producers were saving the best for last.
The fans were pleased to eventually see Rose was one of six finalists to be voted through to the finale.
Although Rose was obviously ecstatic to have made it through, he took a moment to acknowledge that his victory should not take away from observing 9-11. This is a date that should never be forgotten, he said.
Rose posted a message early Thursday on Facebook that read, “We did it. Top 6 and it’s all because of all of you. I am not just saying this, but I am truly blessed to have such loyal fans who stand by me. If not for you, I wouldn’t be (here). I give credit where credit is due. You guys put me through. I don’t know where this will take me, but I promise you all next week I will make you all proud by giving everything I have on stage. God bless you all.”
It was standing room only by the time the show began. Prior to the show, Rose’s brother, Chris, performed for the audience. Although Chris was injured in a recent motorcycle accident, he performed for the crowd for approximately an hour prior to the show.
Fans were on their feet throughout the performance, singing, cheering and applauding as Chris sang his signature covers and originals that were written by his brother, Jimmy.
Jimmy Rose’s final performance will be Tuesday at 9 p.m., with the results announced the following night.
