Grammy award-winning artist and Kentucky native, Jason Crabb, along with his multi-award-winning brother, Gerald Crabb, will be performing at the Mountain Arts Center on Saturday.
Crabb has been the lead vocalist for the very popular gospel group, The Crabb Family.
Crabb was voted “Favorite Male Vocalist” at the first annual Harmony Honors Awards and “Favorite Young Artist” at the 2000 Singing News Fan Awards.
In 2004, he was voted Gospel Music Male Vocalist of the Year. He has been nominated for many other awards during his career.
Gerald Crabb has written over 400 songs and has had 22 national number one songs. From January 1998 to December 2006, one or more of his songs held the number one spot on the national southern gospel chart for 37 months out of a 107 month period. In 1994 Gerald founded the internationally known group, The Crabb Family. Gerald enjoys a very successful career and has won multiple songwriter-of-the-year awards.
This concert, presented by Dr. Angela Maggard, will benefit the March of Dimes with proceeds going to support worthy projects in the region.
Opening acts include Nashville’s Alisa Asbury and the very talented Kentucky Jr. Opry performer, Maranda Finney.
The Jason and Gerald Crabb Benefit Concert will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday at Mountain Arts Center located at 50 Hal Rogers Drive in Prestonsburg.
