Turner arrested for burglary

Middlesboro Police arrested Jimmy R. Turner on Thursday after he allegedly busted through a locked door and assaulted workers at the Middlesboro Health Care Facility.

Turner, 31, of Middlesboro, was arrested by Officer Keith Lowe and charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree disorderly conduct, third-degree terroristic threatening, four counts of fourth-degree assault and was served a bench warrant.

According to the arrest citation, Turner went to the facility to try and make contact with his sister and mother. He then proceeded to bust through a locked door that led to the office of the facility, breaking the retracting hinge on the door.

The citation states after Turner made his way through the door he physically assaulted Josh Hawk, Rusty Loza, Marcy Cole and Jimmie Protor. He allegedly wrapped his hands around Hawk’s neck and chocked him and ran Loza into the wall and office desk.

Turner allegedly grabbed Cole’s left arm and jaw and pushed her out of the way. He pushed Protor away from the office door before busting through it, according to the citation.

Turner was lodged at the Bell County Detention Center.

In other police news, Mark S. England, 43, of Middlesboro, was arrested by MPD Officer Barry Cowan and charged with violation of Kentucky E.P.O./D.V.O., three counts of failure to wear a seat belt, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, license to be in possession, no/expired other state registration receipt and was served a bench warrant.

England was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center.
