Bullock arrested for tampering with evidence

Middlesboro police arrested a woman on Friday after she allegedly attempted to destroy incriminating evidence upon contact with officers.

Mary Charles Bullock, 50, of Middlesboro, was arrested by Officer Keith Lowe and charged with second- and third-degree possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, theft of identity of another without consent and was served a bench warrant.

According to the citation, Bullock allegedly placed 14 yellow pills, suspected to be hydrocodone, and one green pill, suspected to be Klonopin, in her mouth. The act was allegedly done to attempt to destroy the evidence. Police were investigating a complaint on Bullock at the time.

Bullock gave the name Bonnie Bullock when police asked for her name, which is the name of her deceased sister, according to the arrest citation.

Bullock was arrested in the Food City parking lot. She was lodged at the Bell County Detention Center.
