A Middlesboro man pleaded guilty to burglary charges in Bell Circuit Court on Monday.

Bobby Lee Gibson, 27, pleaded guilty on two separate indictments, which both involved burglaries. As a result, he could be facing 15 years in prison.

On the first charge, Gibson pleaded guilty to an amended charge of second-degree burglary. Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Tara Pope gave a recommended sentence of seven years and six months in the penitentiary.

Gibson also pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary on the second indictment. Pope gave a recommended sentence of seven years and six months for that indictment as well. The sentences would run consecutively with each other, giving Gibson a total of 15 years behind bars.

According to one of the indictments, Gibson entered a residence and took three firearms.
