HARROGATE, Tenn. — The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Pool reopened earlier this month following heating system repairs. A full schedule of aquatic activities are offered for the general public, including swim lessons for ages 3 to adult.
Three sessions of swimming lessons are scheduled, including one beginning on Feb. 10. The four-class sessions consist of one-hour lessons on consecutive Mondays and Wednesdays.
LMU “A” will take place Feb. 10, 12, 17 and 19 at 6 or 7 p.m.
LMU “B” will take place March 10, 12, 17 and 19.
LMU “C” is set for April 7, 9, 14 and 16.
Group lessons are available for up to five students per session at a cost of $80 per student.
Parent/child group lessons are available for ages six to 35 months with up to six students per class.
The fee for the water familiarization classes is $55 per child/parent pair.
Additionally, the LMU Pool has resumed a full schedule including open, lap and senior swim sessions, water workout classes, children’s competitive swim programs and more.

A school-aged competitive swim club is also available at the rate of $4 per 60-minute class and $3 for a 30-minute class.
Open to ages 8-18, the swim club is split into two groups: Aquasplitters (9 and up) and Junior Aquasplitters (8 and under).
The swim club meets on Mondays and Wednesdays with the Junior Aquasplitters taking the pool from 4 to 4:30 p.m. and Aquasplitters from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
