Sterling retires from First State Financial.

Ray Sterling, Senior Executive Office, First State Financial retires after 38 years in the banking industry. Ray began his banking career with The National Bank of Middlesboro on Aug. 2, 1976. The National Bank was sold to C & C Bank of Bell County in 1981 and then in 1984 was purchased by First State Bank, now First State Financial. Prior to his retirement Ray served on the bank’s Board of Directors. First State Financial President/CEO Katherine Reese Capps stated, “Ray has a long history with First State Financial and he will be greatly missed. We wish him good luck with the next chapter of his life.”
