HARROGATE, Tenn. — The Caylor School of Nursing (CSON) at Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) has plans to begin offering the R.N.-Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) program at its Baptist Health Corbin extended learning site beginning fall 2014.
The R.N.-B.S.N. degree program is designed for a working registered nurse who already has an associate’s degree or diploma in nursing and who desires a more advanced nursing degree. Courses will be taught at Baptist Health Corbin one day per week. A full-time student can complete the program in two semesters when all general education courses are complete. Required general education courses are also taught at the Corbin extended learning site.
“The Caylor School of Nursing is excited to bring our successful R.N.-B.S.N. program to Corbin,” said Dr. Mary Anne Modrcin, dean of the CSON. “We have been providing an excellent A.S.N. program to Corbin area residents for 25 years. Now, working registered nurses in the area have a new option for advancing their careers.”
The CSON will host two information sessions for prospective applicants to the new R.N.-B.S.N. program as well as the site’s existing Associate of Science in Nursing (A.S.N.) program at Baptist Health Corbin (1 Trillium Way) on March 11 and May 8 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. Pre-registration is not required. Applications for both programs will be accepted during the information sessions.
Enrollment in the CSON has quadrupled over the last five years as new programs and concentrations have been added. For more information on the information sessions, please call 800.325.0900 ext. 6324 or email rebekkah.pullen02@LMUnet.edu or sherry.pearman@LMUnet.edu.
