MSP to hold ‘Thursday Night Live’ series

Main Street Pineville (MSP) Director Jacob Roan gave an update on the organization at the regular Pineville City Council meeting on Monday. Roan announced a new Thursday Night Live event that is slated to begin in May.

The event will take place in the Main Street Park and feature local artist. A Farmers Market is also set to begin in May each Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the vacant lot behind the jail.

MSP will be hold a “Clean the Square” day in April, which is also PRIDE Cleanup Month. Roan said they have received permission to clean all the old festival paint off windows located around town.

There are also plans to powerwash the sidewalks if the organization to find a water source. The event date has yet to be scheduled, but Roan said it will take place on a Saturday.
