Doggie Dash to benefit animal ahelter

HARROGATE, Tenn. — The fourth annual Doggie Dash 5K Run and Dog Walk will be held at 7 p.m. on April 4 in the east parking lot of Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) on the LMU main campus in Harrogate, Tenn.

The Doggie Dash benefits the Claiborne Animal Shelter. It is sponsored by the Student Osteopathic Medical Association at LMU-DCOM.

The event will also feature a dog costume contest, photography, face painting, “meet the puppies,” homemade dog treats and more. While individuals are welcome to bring their dogs with them, runners and walkers do not need to bring a pet in order to participate.

Preregistration is $15 per runner/walker until today. After March 14 preregistration is $20. Race day registration is $25. There is no registration fee for dogs and children 12 and under. Dogs must be on leash at all times.
