North showed great control with no walks and struck out two while the Bobcats’ defense was flawless behind him.


Harlan senior right-hander Jacob Hensley gave up five runs on five hits in 6 1/3 innings, with four strikeouts and six walks. Tye Patrick recorded the final two outs.


Caleb Smith had a pair of doubles to lead the 7-5 Bobcats. Aaron Jenkins, Dylan Cox and Jacob Rose had one single each.


Ben Abraham had two singles to lead the Green Dragons. Caleb Hogue, Jacob Clark and Jordan Turbyfill added one single each.


Smith doubled to open the game and scored the first run on a single by Cox.


Zach Turner walked and North was safe on an error in the second inning. Both scored on Smith’s second double.


Turner walked again in the fourth and scored when Jenkins singled.


Rose walked in the seventh inning and scored after stealing two bases. — — —
