HARROGATE, Tenn. —In unreported action from Monday, the Cumberland Gap Lady Panthers pounded out 13 hits in a 10-4 win over Harlan.

Tessa Pittman homered and doubled to drive in two and scored three runs while Lindsey Elliott delivered a single, double and a triple to drive in three runs. Senior shortstop Katelyn McCarty added three hits and scored three runs in the game.

Senior pitcher Genna Lake worked all seven innings to get the win. After allowing the first four batters to all get hits and come around to score, Lake settled down and gave up just one hit the rest of the way. She finished by allowing four runs on five hits while striking out three and walking one in the game.

The Lady Dragons struck for those four runs in the top of the first innings. Madison Noe and Anna Karst both singled to start the game and Madison Brewer followed with a two-run double. Jourdan Ledford added an RBI double to make it 3-0. Ledford advanced to third on a ground out by Kaylee McNeil and then scored on a Shanae Thomas ground out.

Cumberland Gap got two runs back in their half of the inning as McCarty walked with one away and Pittman belted a two-run homer over the fence in left center.

In the second, Lake singled and courtesy runner Cheyenne Sutton came around to score on a triple by Samantha Pierce. One out later Makenzie Miracle brought Pierce home with the tying run with an RBI ground out to third. McCarty singled, Pittman walked and Eliott delivered a two-run triple into the gap in right-center to put the Lady Panthers ahead to stay at 6-4.

Back-to-back doubles by Pittman and Elliott produced a run in the fourth inning and in the fifth Chelsey Williams singled, stole second and then came around to score on two passed balls to extend the lead to 8-4.

McCarty and Elliott both singled in the sixth inning and they both came around to score on a throwing error to set the final at 10-4.

Harlan’s only base runners after the first inning came on a fifth-inning walk to Andi Saragas, a Noe single later in that inning and when Alyssa Mills reached on an error in the seventh.

Both teams are scheduled to return to action on Thursday with Cumberland Gap (11-4) playing at Claiborne and Harlan (2-6) hosting Letcher Central.
