April is National Poetry Month

In observance of National Poetry Month, the Bell County Historical Museum is featuring an exhibit highlighting poems by local artists. Included in the display are works by William A. Watson, Florence Roe “Pokey” Bush and William S. Tribell. Tribell’s work, is featured as a video display as part of the exhibit. Tribell’s work has been recorded by some prominent persons in the entertainment business; one of the poems in the video was recorded by Gary Burbank of “Earl Pitts” fame and a second was recorded by John Blyth Barrymore (Drew’s half-brother.). The Bell County Historical Museum is located at 207 North 20th Street in Middlesboro. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
