Log truck accident sends one to UT Hospital

An accident on highway 92 left one man severly injured. According to a witness at the scene, Donnie Simpson was traveling on highway 92 when he appeared to have trouble controlling his log truck. This eventually made Simpson hit the ditch-line and flip over the embankment. Simpson was trapped in his truck for several minutes before being freed. He was taken by AirEvac to UT Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn. Departments that responded to the scene included the Bell Co. Sheriff’s Department, Bell Co. EMS, Bell Co. Volunteer Fire Department, Bell Co. Rescue Squad, Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement, and AirEvac.
