Family events in the fall include pumpkin patches, hayrides, corn mazes and viewing the colorful changing leaves throughout the mountains. Camp Jubilee in Tazewell is the place for all of those activities and more.

During the summer the farm serves as a Christian camp where children from over 45 states can visit and spend a week in nature, camping, canoeing, playing on zip-lines, learning about animals and learning about God.

In the fall, nearly 4,000 people visit the 5-acre corn mazes every year including a spooky maze which involves a hearse, strobe lights and 25 actors to scare those brave enough to enter and a plain corn maze trail which is cut by hand.

Within the week Camp Jubilee will open its seventh and largest zip-line measuring 1,200 feet long and 23 feet in the air. Owens built the base of the zip-line from an old school bus with creation assistance from Wahoo Zip-lines which has built many of the zip-lines in the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area.

“We’ll pass out Bibles to anybody who’s interested when they come here to do the mazes and such. God does that and uses that to really change a lot of lives,” said Owens.

The mazes and all other activities are open Friday and Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. Special groups should contact the camp for special times throughout the week. The corn maze and hayride are $9 and all other attractions including the spooky maze and zip-lines are $12. Visit www.campjubileeinc.com for directions to the farm and more information.
