Bell Tourism to launch new website
by Anthony Cloud Staff Writer
Brian O’Brien was present at the Bell County Tourism meeting on Tuesday to discuss the new website he is designing for the committee.
The committee’s target is to have the website live by the next tourism meeting.
The URL address for the new website will be www.bellcountytourism.com.
O’Brien said the website will be “more user friendly and less busy” than the previous one.
“When I make this site for you, it’s yours,” said O’Brien.
He said he would help maintain the site, but he would not own it.
The back drop of the homepage is the Cumberland River. The Bell County logo will also be on the page. The site will have the same tabs as the current website — restaurants, events, tourism, attractions, lodging and contact us.
Each hotel will have its own photo and information on the website. The restaurants will be categorized between fast food and casual dining.
There will be a mobile app for the website as well. It will also be linked to the tourism Facebook page. O’Brien discussed possibly adding a Facebook feed to the website. This would allow anything posted on the Facebook page to be automatically updated to the website.
