The Pineville Police Department arrested a man Thursday after he allegedly stole a wallet from a residence on Tennessee Avenue.

Det. Kevin Goodin arrested Austin David Lee Collett, 18, of Pineville, and charged him with second-degree burglary and fraudulent use of a credit card over $500.

According to Goodin, Collett unlawfully entered the home of Mary Wombles on Sept. 7. Once inside, he allegedly stole her wallet.

Goodin said over the course of time, Collett spent $1,506.29 at various locations using a credit card that belonged to Wombles until his arrest.

He was lodged at the Bell County Detention Center. No bond information was available on the detention center website.

Goodin said the investigation is ongoing and other arrests are pending.
