A Middlesboro man was arrested by the Middlesboro Police Department after being accused of manufacturing methamphetamine. George Dixon, 44, was arrested by Officer Jeremiah Johnson.


According to the citation, Johnson and Lt. Tom Busic went to Dixon’s residence at West Side Trailer Park. Officers found several components used in the process of manufacturing meth as a result of a search.


The citation states Dixon had in his possession a blue plastic bag that contained a substance believed to be meth. Officers also found white tablets and small round blue tablets.


Dixon was also charged with first-, second- and third-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center.


According to the detention center website, Dixon was given a $100,000 cash bond.


The MPD arrested Felisha Overton, 39, of Middlesboro, at Dixon’s residence on Sunday. She was arrested by Officer Harvey Johnson and charged with second-degree burglary.


According to the citation, Overton unlawfully entered the residence in West Side Trailer Park through an unlocked bedroom window. The residence was under quarantine by the MPD after the meth lab was found.


Overton was lodged in the detention center and given a $2,500 bond.


In other police news:


* Joshua Hensley, 24, of Hulen, was arrested by Trooper Keith Baker of the Kentucky State Police on Friday. He was charged with second-degree burglary and served a bench warrant.


* Michael Tyler Buell, 28, of Wallins, was arrested by Busic on a charge of theft by unlawful taking of property under $10,000.
