Miracle arrested for theft, drug charge

Middlesboro police arrested a woman on Friday on theft and drug possession charges.
Amanda Jane Miracle, 28, of Middlesboro, was arrested by Officer Brad Cawood and charged with theft by unlawful taking over $500 and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).
According to the arrest citation, Miracle went into the home of Tommy Sharpe and took his wallet along with $1,000 and then left the home. She was located at the Marathon on 15th Street and Cumberland with the wallet and Sharpe’s ID, police said.
None of the money was in her possession, and she stated she already gave the money to someone else, according to police.
Miracle allegedly had a baggie containing a white substance, which field tested positive for cocaine.
Miracle was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia for having a tube, the citation states. She was also charged with second-degree disorderly conduct for allegedly yelling and fussing with officers at the Marathon.
In other police news, Officer James Taulbee of the Pineville Police Department arrested Kale Caldwell, 50, of Middlesboro.
Caldwell was charged with four counts of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, four counts of prescription controlled substance not in original container, careless driving and operating a motor vehicle under the influence.
