The Middlesboro branch office of the Bell County Court Clerk office has reopened, according to Clerk Rob Lincks.

The office had been closed by the previous clerk, Becky Blevins.

“The reopening will provide convenience and better service to the residents of Middlesboro,” said Lincks in a press release.

The hours of the Middlesboro branch office and the Pineville office are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Pineville office will be open from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, except for holiday weekends.

Lincks announced the clerk’s office will no longer charge a $5 fee for not having your previous year’s registration receipt when renewing tags.

“The fee is not necessary and will be waived,” said Lincks.”Thank you for being patient with the clerk’s office as we strive to regain the public’s trust and adequately render the services expected of your county court clerk’s office.”
