Middlesboro Police Department officers arrested a man on Saturday after he allegedly was found naked with a 15-year-old girl.
Edward Christopher Horne, 21, of Pineville, was arrested by Officer Justin Barton and charged with third-degree rape.
According to the arrest citation, Horne was found with the teenager in a camper on Exeter Avenue. He was being held at the Bell County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.
In other police news, a Cumberland Gap, Tenn., woman was arrested Saturday after allegedly giving a child illegal prescription drugs. Julia A. Boatright, 39, was arrested by MPD Officer Brad Cawood and charged with unlawful transaction with a minor.
The arrest citation states Boatright gave a 14-year-old boy four blue Xanaxs. It also states she entered into a residence on Exeter and took Xanax and gabapentin 600 without permission.
Police allegedly found her to be in possession of Suboxone, an oblong pill believed to be hydrocodone and a pink pill believed to be clonazepam.
Boatright was also charged with second- and third-degree possession of a controlled substance and theft by unlawful taking (controlled substance under $10,000). She was lodged in the detention center on a $10,000 cash bond.
MPD arrested Thomas Dylan Lawson, 20, on Sunday and charged him with first-degree possession of a controlled substance. The citation states he was in possession of a small baggie containing a white power substance believed to be cocaine. He attempted to throw the bag out the window when he exited his vehicle.
Police said Lawson said he bought the substance off of a man at a gas station earlier that day for $40. He was lodged in the detention center.
