A Middlesboro woman who escaped from the Bell County Detention Center was arrested by the Pineville Police Department.
Christina L. Mason, 35, was charged with second-degree escape and second-degree fleeing or evading police.
According to the arrest citation, Mason was helping in the kitchen at the detention center when she walked out the back door. When police made contact with her at a residence on Virginia Avenue, Mason fled from police, the citation states.
Police caught Mason in the backyard of Bo Bush whose backyard was fenced in and locked. She was also seen setting on the front porch of Kathy Warren’s residence, according to the citation.
Mason unlawfully entered the dwelling of Michael Foley as well, the citation states. She was also charged with second- and third-degree burglary, second- and third-degree criminal trespassing, third-degree criminal mischief and theft by unlawful taking.
Mason was being held at the detention center on a $50,000 cash bond. Pineville Police Officer Kyle Dunn was the arresting officer.
Mason was arrested a week ago by the Middlesboro Police Department on several misdemeanor charges and bench warrants.
Others recent arrests include:
• Roger A. Lefew, 58, of Middlesboro, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia;
• Opal Yvonne Thomas, 19, of Middlesboro, second-degree assault.
