The ninth year for the Cruisin’ the Crater car show in the Middlesboro Mall parking lot begins this weekend.

Classic and antique cars will be on display Saturday evening, beginning at 4 p.m. and lasting until 9 p.m.

D.J. Gary England will be playing oldies throughout the event.

Leeman Moyers, co-president of the Tri-State Cruisers, said he believes that over 250 cars will be viewed by nearly 1,000 people traveling from Lexington to Knoxville.

Moyers said he believes this will help bring people in from out of town to benefit Bell County tourism.

The free event will take place the third Saturday of each month through September.
