Four suspects have been arrested by Kentucky State Police in connection with the murder of 29-year-old Donald Mills, of Scalf.
Patrick B. Baker, Christopher Bradley Wagner, Elijah Messer and Angela Mills were all charged with the murder over the weekend.
Baker, 36, of London, and Wagner, 36, of London, were arrested Friday evening while Messer, 30, of Dewitt, and Mills, 39, of Scalf, were arrested on Saturday.
According to a press release, preliminary investigation indicates that males armed with firearms made forced entry into a residence through the front door identifying themselves as law enforcement.
The release states a struggle took place between the homeowner and one of the intruders, who then, shot the homeowner. Both intruders left the residence in a maroon four door Ford F-150 with tinted windows, chrome steps and a chrome front push bar.
According to the release, Mills was transported to the Knox County Hospital by his wife where he was pronounced dead. Mills’ body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
This case is still under investigation by Kentucky State Police Det. Bryan Johnson. KSP was assisted at the scene by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.
