A Tennessee man was arrested in Middlesboro on drug trafficking charges on Tuesday.
Timothy Wayne Holman, 48, of Arthur, was arrested by Middlesboro Police Officer Barry Cowan and charged with first-degree trafficking a controlled substance.
According to the arrest citation, Cowan originally stopped Holman for having excessive window tent. While conducting the traffic stop, the officer found a pill bottle that contained 18 blue round tablets, as a result of a search. A wallet with a significant amount of cash was also found.
The citation states there was a message on Holman’s cell phone asking if he had any pain pills and to call the individual.
Holman was also charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance. He was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
