The Kentucky State Police arrested an Arjay man on Tuesday after allegedly finding about $6,000 in cash, guns and drugs inside his home.
James E. Revis Jr., 40, was charged with first-, second- and third-degree trafficking a controlled substance, trafficking marijuana 8 ounces to 5 pounds and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Tuesday at 6:57 p.m., Kentucky State Police Post 10 troopers executed a search warrant at a residence on Wiser Branch Road in the Arjay community. The search warrant was obtained by Trooper Joey Brigmon stemming from a drug investigation.
Post 10 requested a canine to assist troopers with the search warrant. TFC Dallas Eubanks deployed canine Rex and conducted a search of the residence and out buildings, according to the press release.
The release states during the search Rex alerted in an out building and approximately 1.5 pounds of marijuana was located. As a result of the search warrant, troopers seized approximately $6,000 in cash, 1.5 pounds of marijuana, several pills, three packages of Suboxone strips, a surveillance system and seven guns.
The homeowner, Revis, was arrested during the search. He was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center.
The release states two other people at the residence were cited for possession charges. The case remains under investigation by Brigmon. He was assisted at the scene by Troopers Brian Greene and George Howard, Eubanks, Det. Jason Joseph, Sgt. Jeremy Lee and Sgt. Jackie Pickerell.
