Middlesboro police arrested a man on Saturday for allegedly trafficking cocaine.
James Anthony Lumpkin, 39, of Middlesboro, was arrested by Officer Harvey Johnson and charged with first-degree trafficking a controlled substance.
According to the arrest citation, Lumpkin sold crack cocaine to a confidential informant working for the Kentucky State Police on May 21 for the price of $29. He was arrested on Edgewood Road.
Lumpkin was lodged at the Bell County Detention Center on a $5,000 cash bond.
In other police news, KSP arrested Darren Wayne Farmer, 31, of Wallins Creek, and charged him with theft by unlawful taking, no operator’s/moped license, failure to wear a seat belt, giving officer false name or address and three warrants were served.
