A new business recently opened in Middlesboro that will give your pets an opportunity to be pampered.

Shampooch Pet Salon offers everything from having pets nails trimmed to a total spa package for your pooch.

Owner Delilah Hensley received her animal grooming license in April from Nash Academy Dog Grooming School in Lexington.

“It’s neat for me to get to see all of the different pets. I like that you can tell the pets just love coming in and getting all cleaned up,” said Hensley.

Shampooch offers bathing, nail trimming, flea or tick treatment and fur trimming.

Hensley has groomed every size dog from a Yorkie to a Newfoundland and can tailor her grooming abilities to your pets need.

As Hensley grooms the dogs, she will also check the dog over for any visible lumps or unattended areas. If she sees any problems, she will suggest that a trained veterinarian gives the pet a closer look.

“If you’re a pet owner you should really be treating your dog as a child. Trimming their hair in the summer keeps them cool and that’s important in the hot months,” said Hensley.

Shampooch takes both appointments and walk-ins, appointments are preferred. Prices start at $5 for a nail trim and go up depending on the size of dog as well as treatment wanted.

To schedule an appointment at Shampooch, call 606-248-9471 or 606-302-6327. Shampooch is located next to Jim Brown Supply in Middlesboro.
