What better way to celebrate 30 successful years in the trophy business than to remodel your current home base of operations and to hold an official reopening of your revamped store.

All-Star Trophies & Screen Printing owners Troy Poore and Ronnie Bussell filled a local need some 30 years ago when they and fellow Forge Ridge coach David Redmond opened 3C Enterprises.

“Back in the day, there was no easy access to reasonably priced sports trophies for local teams,” said Poore.

During those 30 years, the three men not only operated a successful trophy business but also managed to build and run the Cookie Shop and Morrow’s Candy Shop, located in the East Town Mall. Three pizza parlors were also opened by the enterprising men during that time frame.

Poore and Bussell said they decided six years ago to concentrate their efforts by opening All-Star Trophies, located beside Subway Restaurant in Harrogate.

“We have customers that have been with us for the entire 30 years, many from across the southeast,” said Bussell, adding they regularly ship orders to as far away as Hawaii.

The revamped business does custom screen printing, as well, using both the traditional and digital ink to garment processes.

“I have people ask if they can order 10 shirts with a special logo on it. I say, ‘Sure. I can custom print one T-shirt for you,’” said Poore.

An estimated 125,000 shirts and 12,000 trophies are shipped regularly to customers each year, said they said. The two men recently filled orders for some 1,100 trophies in one week’s time.

Bussell and Poore said they are considering expanding into another market, possibly opening a storefront in nearby Middlesboro or locating one to the south. However, the Harrogate location will remain as the base of operations, said Poore.

At the 2,200 square feet store, they offer laser engraving and embroidery services, medallions, certificates, ribbons, coffee mugs and hats. They even custom design car tags or place background designs onto special custom plaques through a sublimation process.

The retail store has a wide selection of items from which to choose, or custom orders can be placed for quick turnaround.

All-Star Trophies & Screen Printing is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
