The time changed last weekend. I love the longer days. One man said this about the time change. I don’t mind going back to Daylight Savings Time.

With all the high prices and inflation, that hour will be the only thing I’ve saved all year. With things like they are we all have to be careful. The old preacher said that when your out go, exceeds your income, your upkeep, will be your downfall. The old saying a penny saved is a penny earned, but now days a little boy said it this way, A penny saved is not that much. So true. We go through all the motions of life.

All the little things we do need tended to. It seems life is full. We do a lot of different things. But somehow there’s an empty part that we have never filled. I believe in everyone there’s a place that only God can fill. Now many may try to fill that place with a lot of other things. Still the place stays empty. Nothing else will fill it.

At one point it will be your time to obey the gospel. You may have passed it up a few times already or not yet. It could be your time to get sick. We see so many with sickness in their life. It could be your time to die. It could be your time to go to church. It could be your time to start living right. Some of these things you can do something about but one you can’t do anything and that‘s a time to die. You can take the time to do many other things. But death comes at it’s time. Hebrews 9:27 says it’s appointed for people to die and after that the judgment. When it’s your time to die you can’t do anything about it. You must prepare ahead of it.

Take time now before death comes or the Lord returns. The Bible, the Word of God says when the first Church started in Jerusalem, that when people heard the preaching that day, that it pricked their hearts and they asked what to do and the preacher told them these words, Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. That’s the words I still tell people also. God loves you and wants you to be saved. He will take away all your sins, all of them. This could be your time to be saved. Now could be your time. From all of us at the Stinnett Church of Christ, we love the Word of God and you too.
