Students from Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College Middlesboro campus recently toured Vaughn & Melton Engineering for Engineering Week events. Students observed what civil engineers and civil drafters do for a living and observed their everyday routines. The group then travelled to the Cumberland Gap Tunnel and saw how the tunnel was operated. They also learned how the tunnel was designed by engineers and constructed. Those taking part in the event included Julian Crawford, Jeremiah Partin, Christine Peterson, Tori Johnson, Paige Rose, Brad Livesay, Abhishek Singe, John Schneider (VP of V&M Engineering), John Caldwell, William Gaines, Clint Goodin (civil engineer), Devin Brown, David Hoskins, J. Brandon Howard and Gary Steenbergen, SKCTC faculty.
