The Middlesborough Garden Club met on Nov. 12 at the public library. Hostesses Barbara Shattuck, Ann Madon and Joyce Mears served a delicious brunch to the 15 members present and Harold Jerrell, who presented the program.
Jerrell, of Lee County, Va., is a well-known local nature photographer. His program, “Let There Be Light” was a breath-taking slideshow which contained photographs that he had taken in the past few months in North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
Members had a short business meeting which was presided by President Donna Smith. Smith was awarded a blue ribbon for her entry in the category of arrangement in a unusual container.
The next meeting was held Dec. 3. Members gathered to decorate the Arthur Museum for the holidays.
