BIG STONE GAP, Va. — The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park has announced the winners of the 18th Annual Festival of Trees. Winners were selected based on votes received from Festival of Trees attendees from Nov. 10 to Dec. 31.
First place: Mary, Did You Know? – East Park Avenue Baptist Church of Norton, Va.
Second place: The Joy of Pepsi - Pepsi Bottling Company of Norton, Va.
Third place: Whimsical Colors – L.J. Horton Florist of Big Stone Gap, Va.
Fourth place: Frosty the Snowman – LifeCare Ambulance Service of Wise, Va.
Fifth place: Symbol of the Fir – Addilynn Memorial United Methodist Church of Bristol, Tenn.
Sixth place: Duck Dynasty Tree – Boy Scout Troop 604 of Big Stone Gap, Va.
Seventh place: Autism Spectrum Disorder – Family Preservation Services of Norton, Va.
Eighth place: A Magical Time of the Year – Nina Wells Family & Friends of Big Stone Gap, Va.
Ninth place: Star Wars – Powell Valley Animal Hospital of Big Stone Gap, Va.
Tenth place: Animals of 2013 – P.A.W.S. of Southwest Virginia.
Volunteers around the Southwest Virginia region decorated holiday trees, mantels, doorways and banisters throughout museum, sharing their talents and holiday spirit with all who visited the site. This year, 81 groups showcased their creativity, creating a truly beautiful collection of displays.
The Festival of Trees is held annually at the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park.
