The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park will launch the annual Kids Summer Series, “Victorian Gardening,” on July 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The first program in the series explores the history of Victorian gardening and other fun-filled activities of the Victorian Era.
Children enrolled in the program will each plant and care for their own Victorian garden plant under the supervision of a master Victorian gardener.
Each week of the summer series, kids will learn and participate in Victorian Era programs, crafts, games and even a Victorian tea party. Children who enroll in the entire series will attend a graduation ceremony and receive a diploma for participating in the program.
Programs in the Kids Summer Series cost $5 per child per program.
Enrollment is due by June 30 at 4 p.m. Children need to bring a sack lunch.
