Cooperative Christian Ministry is making another plea for help from the community.
Demand is continuously increasing and donations have almost stopped, CCM officials said.
Additionally, sales in the clothing closet are at what they believe to be an all time low. Sales at the closet help fund the organization.
According to CCM Food Pantry Coordinator Ashley Witt, there has been an influx of new clients this year.
“From January to April we had 91 new clients,” said Witt.
The nonprofit organization is in need of everything — food staples, monetary donations and sanitary supplies.
CCM turned clients away in recent days as funds have been completely depleted, she said.
A sign is currently hanging on the door warning of the lack of funds. It reads “Notice: Temporarily Out of Funds for Rent and Utilities.”
“We have not been hit this hard in a long time,” said Witt.
