Tim and Torie Estep have been through a lot in recent months as they have dealt with the loss of their 5-year-old daughter, Arianna.

The Esteps have been overwhelmed by the support from their friends — both new and old — and a local country music artist who recently performed a benefit concert for the family to help aid in the funeral expenses.

They lost Arianna last month after her battle with an undiagnosed rare seizure disorder and a three-week fight with pneumonia. The purpose of the benefit was to raise money for her final expenses.

“She was wonderful, full of life and innocence and the sweetest smile you’d ever see,” said Torie.

Jimmy Rose donated his time and talent for the benefit at the Harlan National Guard Armory because he recognizes that anyone can be put in that situation at any time.

“You never know what’s going to happen, it could happen to any of us at any time,” said Rose.

After the benefit, the Esteps expressed their gratitude on their Facebook page.

In conjunction to the concert, a silent auction was held. Those in attendance bid on jewelry, bath and body products, homemade items such as afghans and decorative wreaths as well as items donated from local department stores.

Remembrance T-shirts were also sold and are still available — some with Rose’s signature. To order a shirt, call 606-505-7833.
