A Knox County man was arrested on drug charges Sunday by the Kentucky State Police.
According to a press release, on Aug. 11 at 6:30 p.m., Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a search warrant at the residence of Charles R. Smith, 66, from Blackberry Drive located in Moores Creek.
KSP troopers located 31 Suboxone strips, 1 ½ grams of marijuana, seven and one ½ of Xanax pills, 378 other prescription medications, three firearms, and approximately $803 during the search.
Smith was arrested and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center and charged with first- and second-degree trafficking a controlled substance, third-degree trafficking a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of a legend drug.
Two other individuals were arrested at the residence and charged with drug charges also. The case is still under investigation by Trooper Jason Partin.
