Ten-year Marine Corps veteran, Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran and current captain in the Kentucky National Guard, Chad Shannon, is opening a new State Farm Insurance office in Middlesboro.

Shannon’s office will be located in the Village Square Shopping Center beside Subway and La Esperanza at 473 North 12th Street in Middlesboro. Plenty of parking spaces are available and conveniently located.

Chad Shannon State Farm has set Sept. 1 as the opening day.

“I am honored at the opportunity to continue serving our country at the community level. God led my family to this area to make a significant impact, and I won’t rest until His mission is achieved. We have been praying that the community embrace us and are appreciative for receiving such a strong welcoming,” says Shannon.

Shannon has a team who has served Bell and the surrounding counties for over 50 years at State Farm. While serving 10 years in the Marine Corps, Chad became accustomed to putting service before self and will work harder than any other insurance agent in this area to serve your needs.

Every member of his team was screened and selected based off of their desire to serve others. Shannon is serious about community service as shown through being recognized by the United States Marine Corps with an Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.

Chad has also been recognized by receiving the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (two), and numerous Certificates of Commendations.

Chad holds a doctorate in business administration-leadership, masters in business administration, Bachelor of Science in organizational behavior, and an Associate of Science in general studies. Chad has been married to his wife Robin for nine years; they have two daughters, Tenley, 7, and Gabby, 2.

“If you haven’t met me, please come by my office and allow me to show you that I mean it when I say that I will be there when you need me the most,” said Shannon.
