The League of Women’s Voters are gearing up for a candidate forum for the upcoming elections.

Only those offices where every candidate agrees to participate in the forum will be represented and that list will be announced closer to the forum.

In order for a candidate to participate in the forum, they must sign a form stating they agree to some basic ground rules. Some of the rules are:

*There will be no substitutes or stand-ins for the candidate;

*No campaign banners, signs or literature handouts will be allowed;

*Time limits will be strictly observed;

*Candidates will not interrupt one another;

*The audience will have an opportunity to submit questions on index cards during the forum. To avoid duplication and personal attacks, a committee of League members will screen questions.

Exact dates, times and locale will be announced closer to the election.
