Tourism in Bell County is centered around the historical aspects and natural beauty of the mountains. Adventure Tourism is honing in on the outdoor activities tourists can experience while visiting the Tri-State area by filming a commercial.
Jon Grace of Adventure Tourism has only filmed footage for a few days, but the project has been going on for months.
“I had in my head how I wanted each segment to look, so I messaged different folks who participated in each respective activity and asked if they’d help with the commercial,” said Grace.
The commercial will contain local citizens enjoying horseback riding, hunting, ATV riding, hiking, fishing, kayaking, golfing, mountain biking and motorcycle riding throughout Bell County.
Grace says this type of promotional work will also have a lasting impact on the economy from state and national park revenue increases to more subtle things like gasoline taxes.
“It’s extremely difficult to find a company that is looking to expand, but we want to make sure we use every approach possible to give Bell County a leg up. Hopefully, we can grab an executive’s attention and make them look into making Bell County a home for their company, which will in turn create jobs and promote economic growth,” said Grace.
Grace also plans to make a promotional DVD to be distributed to different media outlets to encourage visitors to come to Bell County.
Footage can be viewed on the Adventure Tourism Facebook page and website at www.bellcountykyadventure.com. There are plans for the commercial to air on televisions stations in the near future.
