KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Railsplitters stayed put at No.20 in this week’s NABC/Division II Coaches Poll. This marks the 47th straight week Lincoln Memorial has been ranked in the poll, a South Atlantic Conference record and the fourth longest active steak in the nation.

LMU (7-1, 4-1 SAC) played only one game this past week, traveling to Newberry for a South Atlantic Conference bout on Sunday. The Railsplitters used a trio of magnificent offensive performances to knock off the Wolves, 102-87. Redshirt-freshman Luquon Choice earned Railsplitter of the Week and SAC Player of the Week distinctions after amassing a career-high 34 points to go along with nine boards. Seniors Vincent Bailey and Chance Jones poured in 22 points apiece, and Bailey cataloged his third double-double of the year with a career-best 17 rebounds.

Through eight games, the Railsplitters are among the NCAA Division II leaders in a number of offensive and defensive statistical rankings. LMU is second in the nation in rebounding margin as they have out-rebounded their foes by an average of 16.6 boards per game. The Railsplitters rank 13th in the nation in field-goal percentage (52.0) while ranking 26th out of 291 teams in field-goal percentage defense (39.2). Along with those numbers, LMU is 18th in blocked shots per game (5.8), 19th in total blocks (46), 20th in scoring margin (16.5) and 32nd in scoring offense (88.3).

Lincoln Memorial University is set for its final game of the calendar year on Saturday when they welcome the University of Virginia-Wise to Tex Turner Arena for a 4 p.m. non-conference game.
