The 2014 Bell County Lady Cats Elementary Basketball Camp will be held June 3-5 at the Bell Central gym.
The camp is for girls in Kindergarten through eighth grade and the cost is $35.
Staff for the camp includes the Bell County girls basketball coaches, players and volunteers.
Fundamentals such as ball-handling, shooting, passing, defense, footwork and rebounding will be taught. Players will be taught the importance of hard work and dedication in order to become a better basketball player. Campers will be placed into groups according to their age and/or ability level. All campers will be encouraged to try their best at all times.
There will be fundamental drills, station work, 1-on-1, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 play ,as well as free throw shooting and hot-shot competitions.
Campers should bring or wear their own gym shoes, shorts and sweats and T-shirts.
Awards will be presented on last day to various competition winners and a Camper of the Week award will be given. Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt.
The camp will run each day from 9 a.m. to noon. Registration starts on June 3 at 8:30 a.m. and the gym will open at 8:40 on June 4 and 5.
Any child that has a medical condition will need to bring instructions pertaining to the treatment of the condition.
