Tori Long, left, and Ginny Carter, members of the Thomas Walker Science Club, are pictured holding two puppies at the Bell County Animal Shelter in Pineville. The club collected food and treats to donate to the shelter. Some club members plan to volunteer at the shelter. Friends of the Shelter also plan to present a program to the club about good pet ownership. The club is sponsored by Alisha Massengill and Denise Carter.
