Anna Jane Carroll, age 76 of Middlesboro, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 19,2012. She passed away at her home with her family by her side.

Born Jan. 6, 1936, in Ewing, Va., she was the daughter of the late Jim and Carrie Lou West Laws. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Ray Carroll; son, Danny Carroll; grandson, James Wesley Carroll Jr.; granddaughter, Ashley Paulette Barton; brothers, Jet and wife Dell Laws, Ray and Bud Laws; sisters, Hazel (Pink) McBee and Ruth (Herb) Goins; special sister-in-law, Eva Edwards; special cousins, Lillian Hampton and Dessie Brock.

She is survived by the following members of her family: children, Larry (Kim) Carroll, James (Pam) Carroll and Vickie (Paul) Barton all of Middlesboro; grandchildren, Jamie (Jennifer) Carroll, Chris Carroll, Dennis (Hope) Carroll, Dana (John) Hoskins, Becky Carroll, Miranda Middleton, Jacob Barton, Amy (Todd) Helton, Nikki (Jeff) Brock, Kevin Smith, Brooke and Brianna McBee and Samantha Arnett; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Dylan Hoskins, Rylee Carroll Hubick, Brady and Blake Carroll, Alexis Middleton, Chloie Carroll, Grace Vance, Eric and Madison Helton and Kennedy Brock; sister, Betty (Elijah) Boshears; sisters-in-law, Helen Laws and Mildred Lankford; special friends, Darlene and Junior Rowlett, Mike and Wanda Welch and Pat and Marion Laws; special niece, Linda Hensley; special caregivers, Cathy Smith, Amy Helton and Nikki Brock; and a host of nieces and nephews that were very special to her, many, many friends and family whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Barnett and the Rev. Mike Welch presiding. Music will be provided by Alan and Linda Barton and Nicole Mike.

Interment will follow in the Carroll Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie, Chris and Dennis Carroll, Jacob Barton, John Hoskins, Kevin Smith, Todd Helton, Jeff Brock, Jason Boshears and Clint Laws.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Creech Funeral Home.
