Bell County was recently represented by coach J.W. Campbell (left) and recent graduate Rachel Yeary at the annual Kentucky-Tennessee All-Star Softball Classic at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green.
Other 13th Region players who were chosen for the Kentucky team included Ashley Lindsay of Whitley County, Bethany Hensley of Corbin and Kristen Fields of North Laurel. Campbell helped coach the team along with Tony Hayden of Reiland, Kelly Cable of Shelby County and Tracy Spickard of Franklin County.
Tennessee’s All-Stars posted 2-0 and 10-0 wins to take the 2012 series and now holds a 4-3 edge in the seven-year history of the Classic.
