Dewey Partin age 87,of Lafollette, Tenn,. passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 in the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
He was born at Chenoa on April 16, 1925, and was the son of the late Chester Partin and Angeline Maiden Partin. Mr. Partin was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Lafollette, Tenn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Partin; daughter, Vickie Partin; three sisters, Zella Miracle, Gladys Penley and Thelma Jones.
Survivors include his son, David Wayne Partin of Lafollette, Tenn.; grandson, Mark Partin of Lafollette, Tenn.; four sisters, Verda Collins, Bessie Partin, Ruby Smith and Margie Cobb; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 8 p.m. Friday at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Bennett presiding. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Shumate Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Vine Cemetery.
