Fatal crash identity released

On Wednesday, Bell County Coroner Jay Steele identified the man who died in the car wreck on Pine Mountain as Leonard M. “Tee” Slusher. It appeared as though Slusher lost control of his vehicle and drove off the side of the embankment in the park. His wreck occurred on Tuesday.

Slusher was the son of the late William Matt and Mary Elizabeth Dean Slusher. He was a member of First Baptist Church and worked as an insurance agent and manager for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Services for Slusher will be at 3 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Howard residing. Burial will be in the Mills Cemetery at Tinsley.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour today at the First Baptist Church of Pineville.
