Henderson Settlement recently presented Frakes School Center with an award of $5,500 made possible through a grant from Save the Children. The money will be spent to purchase additional books for the Accelerated Reading Program at the school. Henderson Settlement strives to promote the Frakes School Center's work in improving the reading level of students through in-school tutoring, after-school literacy, and the summer reading activities.
