John Millard Brummett, 54 of Harrogate, Tenn., passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn.

He was born April 1, 1958, and was the son of the late John H. Brummett and Trula Sharp Brummett who survives. He was an avid outdoorsman and he especially loved fishing, playing softball and basketball. He also loved collecting Hot Wheels cars. He loved all of his family very much and always cherished the time he spent with them.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister: Glenda Faye Jones; brother-in-law: Bennie Jones; and his father-in-law: David Frost.

He is survived by the following members of his family: wife: Carolyn Frost Brummett of Harrogate, Tenn.; son and daughter-in-law: John David and Shasta Brummett of Harrogate, Tenn.; two beloved grandchildren: Ethan Brantley Brummett and Taytum Rayne Brummett; mother: Trula Brummettl two brothers: David (Cheryll) Brummett and Richard (Debra) Brummett; three sisters: Zella Carter, Rose (Lester) Barrett and Judy (Mike) Holman; mother-in-law: Penny Frost; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Lisa and Mike Gambrel; very special friend: Rhonda Sivley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Louthan and the Rev. Waylon Hunter presiding. Music will be provided by Lisa Gambrel and Ginger and Roger Beason.

Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Family and fFriends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Creech Funeral Home.
