PINEVILLE — Juanita Marie Howard Blevins, 88, passed away Monday, November 2, 2009, at the Pineville Community Hospital.

Born at Stoney Fork on June 11, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Clell and Susie Brock Howard. A homemaker, she was a believer in the Holiness faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Talton Blevins; daughter, Victoria Blevins; grandchildren, Channing Matthew Blevins, John Michael Jones, Roland Blevins and Jessica Brock; and a host of brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Ronnie and Terry Blevins of Jenson, James and Sherry Blevins of Stoney Fork, Wanda and Jimmy Neal of Fayetteville, W.Va., Martine and Van Johnson of Straight Creek, Regina and Tom Sizemore of Arjay, and Haze and Deloris Blevins of Berea; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Johnson and the Rev. George Neal presiding. Music will be by friends. 

Burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Gardens, with Danny Johnson, Van Johnson Jr., Josh Johnson, Paul Michael Johnson, Ryan Blevins, Ken Neal and Matthew Brock serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Charles Saylor.
